Evidence for Aristotle’s Lost <i>Zoïka</i> in Apuleius’ <i>Apologia</i> 36-40
Abstract
Two passages of the Pro se de magia ought to be considered fragments from Aristotle’s Zoïka: Apol. 40.11 on the ‘donkey’ fish and 38.2–3 on the spontaneous generation of eels.
