Achilles as an Allegorical Anti-Adam in the <i>Pseudo-Clementine Homilies</i>
Abstract
In the Homilies the myth of Achilles and Polyxena is interpreted allegorically so as to illustrate, against other Christian thought, that Adam, in contrast to Achilles, was not guilty of sin.
