About the Journal

Focus and Scope

GRBS (ISSN 2159-3159) is a scholarly journal
 devoted to the culture and history of Greece from Antiquity to the Renaissance.

Significant research articles are invited on all aspects of the Hellenic world from prehistoric antiquity through the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods, including studies of modern classical scholarship. Articles concerned primarily with Latin or the western Mediterranean are excluded. GRBS does not publish book reviews or archaeological reports. Only in unusual cases can submissions longer than ca. 10,000 words (including notes) be considered. No submission or publication fees are charged to authors.

Peer Review Process

GRBS is a peer reviewed journal. Texts containing no indication of authorship will be refereed anonymously.

Publication Frequency

GRBS is a quarterly publication (March, June, September, December).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
